After Telltales success with The Walking Dead games rejuvenated the adventure game genre it was only a matter of time before other developers jumped on the bandwagon. Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment join the party with Life Is Strange, an episodic game consisting of 5 chapters in its first season. You play as Max and 18 year old senior student with a passion for photography that suddenly discovers that she has the ability to turn back time. This ability comes in handy as she starts investigating the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student. However, there is a lot of high school drama to get through first.

GG:
Its common knowledge by now, but its a point worth reiterating: the best zombie stories arent those that deal with the struggle against the undead horde, but rather those that focus on the struggles between the survivors that inhabit a dead world. The tales (in whatever form they come) that find the most success are those that provide a human story in a wholly inhuman environment. The Last of Us, The Walking Dead and City of Horror (look it up) are a few prime examples. While playing Techlands most recent zombie survival horror Dying Light, its clear that the zombie veterans know this. Yet while theres a clear attempt here to create a vaguely interesting human story of loyalty and camaraderie, it never really hits the mark.

CCC:
Welcome back to the land of Westeros, where lords and houses feud over power, money, land, and prestige, gleefully turning a blind eye to the horde of ice zombies ready to attack in the north. Seriously guys zombies. I bet the cast of Telltales The Walking Dead would have handled this by now. But by all means, continue backstabbing each other and discussing who gets the rights to what trees. Im sure the world isnt going to end because of your selfish desires and overall reckless attitude toward human life. Not at all.
Episode Two of Telltales A Game of Thrones picks up where episode one left off, which is to say on a huge spoiler. This is your time to get the heck out of here if you havent already played Episode One.

Rachel Weber writes: "Kevin Bruner is the new CEO at Telltale Games, but he's not the new guy. He was actually one of the co-founders back in 2004 and until recently was president, CTO and director. He takes the CEO role as the company rides high on the success of The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones and prepares for two new massive challenges - a series based on Mojang's Minecraft and a brand new, original IP.
We spoke to Bruner last week to find out what the company's priorities are after more then ten years telling stories, and why he gets more nervous than ever about launching new titles."

GCO: "Tales from the Borderlands is a combination of everything Telltale Games have learned from previous exploitslike The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. Besides some rather out of place elements, Tales from the Borderlands is an extremely intuitive mix of narrative and player choice."
